CorpSecurity International examines security professionals, verifies their experience, and maintains a register of those who meet the standard — from officer to director, in more than 100 countries.
What we do
A certification body, and only that.
CorpSecurity International examines security professionals against a published standard and keeps a register of those who meet it. We do not employ security professionals, place them, or represent them.
That narrow function is deliberate. A credential carries weight only when the body issuing it has no interest in the outcome beyond whether the standard was met.
We have certified security professionals since 2019. Our purpose has not changed in that time:

CorpSecurity International is a certification body of LYL Corp International, an international professional certification organization operating since 2020. LYL Corp International governs certification standards across three disciplines, delivered through three certification bodies:
Corporate Security
Business Continuity Management
Human Resource Management
Each body examines and issues credentials in its own discipline. LYL Corp International sets and governs the standards those credentials are awarded under.
Every CorpSecurity certificate carries two marks: the certification body that examined and issued it, and the governing authority whose standards it was awarded under. That separation between examining and governing is how professional credentialing organizations are structured.
Not every professional qualifies. That is by design.
Every CorpSecurity credential requires documented security experience at the level it certifies. The requirements are published, fixed, and applied to every candidate in the same way, so that each credential holds to one global standard — whether the candidate prepares through official training or independently.

Qualifying experience includes corporate and physical security, military and law enforcement service, security systems and ELV, and facilities or HSE roles carrying security responsibility. Experience is assessed on responsibility and functional scope, not job title alone. Roles are typical, not a restriction: eligibility is set by experience.
How the requirements apply:
- Reduced requirements apply only to holders of the named credential, active and in good standing. A lapsed annual maintenance fee forfeits the reduced pathway.
- One reduction per credential. Reductions do not combine.
- CSC® requires 7 years and a prerequisite credential in every case. The prerequisite is a condition of entry, not a reduction.
- Experience is declared at application and may be verified by CorpSecurity International at any time, including after award.
- Meeting the experience requirement allows a candidate to sit the examination. The credential is awarded only on passing the proctored examination at a minimum score of 80%.
How our standards are set
Set by practitioners. Held to one benchmark.
Practitioner-governed. Certification standards are set by working security practitioners and governed by the CorpSecurity Certification Board — not by academics or trainers.
Experience at every level. No CorpSecurity credential is awarded without documented security practice, from 2 years at CSA® to 15 at CSD®.
One passing standard. Every examination requires a minimum score of 80%, whether the candidate completed official training or prepared independently.
Proctored examination. CSA® uses system-proctored delivery with browser lockdown. Advanced credentials use recorded screen-share proctoring.
Maintained, not permanent. Credentials are valid for three years, kept active through a $75 annual maintenance fee and continuing professional education. One fee maintains every CorpSecurity credential a holder carries.
Training is optional. Official training is self-paced and virtual. It prepares candidates for the examination; it does not award the credential.
