What the CSI® Certification Validates

Specialist expertise in corporate security investigations and investigative best practices.

The Certified Security Investigator (CSI®) certification validates advanced competency in corporate security investigations rather than broad management responsibility. It confirms that a certified professional has demonstrated mastery of the principles, processes, and specialized skills required to lead and execute complex corporate investigations that support security operations and risk mitigation objectives.

CSI® is designed for security professionals who have progressed beyond foundational operational duties and now hold specialist responsibilities in investigative functions within corporate security environments. It is not a general management or executive-level credential but a specialized investigations certification that strengthens professional credibility in investigative roles.

Pathway to CSI® Certification

Understand the scope, structure, and recognition of the Certified Security Manager credential

  • The Certified Security Investigator (CSI®) credential validates advanced investigative competence in corporate security and organizational investigations, confirming the capability to conduct thorough, ethical, and legally compliant investigations that support organizational decision-making.
