Recertification / Reissuance Overview
Recertification
CorpSecurity International certifications follow a three-year certification cycle, starting from the date your certification is awarded.
Recertification happens automatically at the end of the 3-year cycle when annual requirements are consistently met:
-
A single Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) covering all active certifications
-
Individual CPE submissions for each certification you hold
There are no separate recertification fees. One AMF maintains all credentials, but CPE must be completed separately for each certification level.
Steps for Recertification / Certificate Reissuance
1. Maintain Annual AMF Payments
Your annual AMF keeps all your certifications active and in good standing.
A single AMF covers maintenance for every CorpSecurity certification you hold. (One AMF maintains all certifications you hold, regardless of how many certifications you earn.)
2. Submit Required CPE Credits for Each Certification
Each certification carries its own yearly CPE requirement.
Professionals must submit CPE for EACH active certification, for example:
-
CSA® → 15 CPE/year
-
CSS® → 20 CPE/year
-
CSI® → 20 CPE/year
-
CSM® → 30 CPE/year
-
CSD® → 30 CPE/year
You must upload CPE for every active certification individually through your CorpSecurity account.
3. Three-Year Certification Board Review
At the end of the 3-year cycle, the Certification Board reviews:
-
Annual AMF payment history
-
CPE submissions for each certification
-
Compliance with policies and ethics guidelines
Failure to comply may delay certificate reissuance until requirements are fulfilled.
4. Automatic Certificate Reissuance
Once approved, your certificate(s) are automatically reissued for another 3-year validity period, reflecting your ongoing compliance, professionalism, and commitment to global standards.
